Dancing Dragontail

A summer dance of flavour and design.

The artwork that wraps around the Dancing Dragontail bottle is as carefully curated as the gin itself. Each of my illustrated botanicals reflects the ingredients within. Cardamom, cassia bark, angelica root, orris root, pink grapefruit zest and wild Kosovo juniper, all lifted by a smooth grain base.

Celebrating the cardamom in its flowering stage, the buds too beautiful to leave unseen and added the vibrant purple-blue of the iris flower to echo the orris root. Grapefruit blossoms bring a soft, sunny floral note, leaning into the carefree spirit of summertime. While cassia is shown in bursts of bright yellow, capturing its warmth beyond the bark.

Threaded through this botanical tapestry are beautiful fluttering Dragontrail butterflies, a playful nod to the name Dancing Dragontail, weaving among the intertwining florals of this truly summery gin. The butterflies are captured in their true form. The white bodies met with elegantly long black wings, with a transparent forewing and a pale green band. I’ve painted the tails in motion, portraying the mesmerising movement. If you know you know and if you don’t give it a search… You won’t regret it.
